What we collect

Account data: username, email address, hashed password, role and subscription expiry. Content data: threads, posts and profile fields you submit. Technical data: the browser user agent stored with each login session, and timestamps for account creation and last activity.

Why we hold it

To operate accounts and sessions, to confirm ownership of an email address, to display the forum, to apply subscription entitlements, and to enforce the terms.

Cookies

One cookie holds your session identifier. It is required to stay signed in and is not used for advertising or analytics. See the cookie notice for details.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Data is disclosed only to the providers needed to run the site, currently our hosting and outbound email providers, and where we are legally required to do so.

Retention

Account data is kept while the account exists. Sessions expire after 30 days. Verification and reset tokens expire within 24 hours and 1 hour respectively.

Your choices

You can change your email address and password from your account page, and you can ask staff to close your account. Public posts may remain visible after closure where they form part of a discussion.
